She then went quiet for a couple of seconds then said’ ‘I know, you and Me and Gracie and hyrum can go there for dinner and daddy can stay home’. And I said ‘If we did that don’t you think Daddy would be lonely’. And she said kind of laughing ‘No that’s silly Daddies don’t get lonely, he’s a Daddy and they have the power of God. I couldn’t help laugh to myself. (those primary lessons must be sinking in).
She was then quiet for a couple a seconds and said. “Don’t you know Mummy I know everything”. I started laughing, ‘you know everything’ I said, well I told her ‘I’m an adult and I still don’t know everything, I still learn new things everyday’. Then she started laughing and said “Then I should be the Mummy and you can be the darling.” (That’s what I call her).
I burst into laughter and didn’t stop laughing the rest of the way home.
Well want can I say at 4 ½ yrs she knows everything.

lol Yeah I get the same from Lauralei. If I tell her something she usually gets really annoyed and just says "I know!" Even if she didn't know it in the first place.
ReplyDeleteCute story!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great age for these conversations! And a blog is a great place to record them... so often I hear mum or Dionne say "I wish I had recorded the funny things my kids said."
ReplyDeleteI can't wait till I can have these kind of conversations with Ashton! Thanks for sharing!
